2017-18 Season Events

The Tassel 2017-18 season of events featuring professional artists (see show links below) includes one free performance by The King’s Brass for the entire community, and seven performances as part of our season ticket package: The New Christy Minstrels, Ethan Bortnick, the UNL Symphony Orchestra, SNOWCATCHER, VOCES8, Janoska Ensemble, and the Harlem Gospel Choir.  Season tickets are on sale now!  Individual show tickets will be available for some but not all performances; please link to event pages for details.


Performing and visual arts events of the Holdrege Public Schools that are held at the Tassel are listed on the school activities calendar, available via the Dusters website.

  • UNL Symphony Orchestra – Saturday, Oct 28th, 2017 7:30 pm at 7:30:pm 7:30 pm

    The University of Nebraska Symphony Orchestra will perform a full concert at the Tassel in Holdrege.

  • SNOWCATCHER – Sunday, Dec 3rd, 2017 3:00 am at 3:00:am 3:00 am

    A family theatre event written and performed by Nebraskan Becky Boesen, based on the vicious 1888 prairie storm that came to be known as "The Schoolchildren's Blizzard." This show will be presented at the Tassel as a Sunday matinee.

  • VOCES8 – Saturday, Feb 10th, 2018 7:30 pm at 7:30:pm 7:30 pm

    With an on-going program of recordings and live broadcasts including both classical and contemporary pieces, VOCES8 is heard regularly on international television and radio, including MPR, the BBC and ClassicFM. VOCES8 is a Decca Classics Artist and with whom two albums, 'Eventide' and 'Lux', have been at the top of the Classical Charts on their release.

  • Janoska Ensemble – Friday, Mar 16th, 2018 7:30 pm at 7:30:pm 7:30 pm

    Soaring talent, delightful versatility, charming humor, and a very wide variety of music styles. "As an ensemble 'they are a whiff of fresh air', combining their outstanding, individual talents with their family ties. They have become successful in performing in a variety of genres in their unique 'Janoska style', which is creating a new hybrid genre" - Julian Rachlin

  • Harlem Gospel Choir – Friday, Apr 13th, 2018 7:30 pm at 7:30:pm 7:30 pm

    Performing contemporary gospel with a touch of jazz and blues, the world famous Harlem Gospel Choir is synonymous with power vocals, glorious sound and infectious energy.
