History and Amenities of The Tassel<\/h2><\/div><\/div>[vc_column_text]The Tassel is a stunning example of what can happen when people come together to work toward a common goal.\u00a0 Funding to build the state-of-the-art facility was raised entirely from private donations over more than a decade, and the building finally became a reality in 1999\u00a0through the collaborative efforts and generous donations of “time, talent, and treasure” by many area citizens, the Phelps County Community Foundation, and the Holdrege Public Schools board of directors.\u00a0 Designed by professional architects with long experience in theatrical facilities, one of the hallmarks of the Tassel is its superb acoustics:\u00a0there is not a “bad seat” in the house.\u00a0 Facility amenities also\u00a0include\u00a0a beautiful two-level lobby and two-level auditorium with elevator access, professional lighting and sound systems,\u00a0full counterweight fly system, stage and loading dock at ground level, four dressing rooms with lighted makeup mirrors, backstage showers\u00a0and a “green room” where performers warm up before shows.\u00a0 The stage is approximately 100 feet wide by 34 feet deep with a 50 foot proscenium opening.\u00a0 The facility was built in full compliance with ADA standards.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
